WAFA Company,

I would like to pass along how impressed we are with the service we received from the sales and technical services form WAFA. We ordered a Satellite Internet Hughes X50 from WAFA and received the equipment with two days of purchase.

To coordinate delivery to such a remote location in such a short time is a great feat in itself. The next hurdle was the installation of the equipment. With the coordination with the WAFA team over chat we were given specific intstructions on how to set up and load software needed for the modem to function properly.

After another day of troubleshooting and resetting the modem we were able to obtain the required signal strength and passed our technical data to WAFA. The next day by lunch time our service was activated and we were surfing the net with a more than fast connection capability. We owe the success of having this communication capability available to the dedicated members of the WAFA team and I whole heartedly recommend them to anyone looking for service in the region.

I have no reservations whatsoever with Wafa. They were very friendly with me before the process. I was VERY tentative because of the problems we had with another Pakistani company while stationed at Sharana. So I therefore had many questions for Wafa. Kamal was very helpful in allaying any fears I had. When I received the equipment, Anshul Gupta was very helpful and approachable with setup. I strongly recommend purchasing a satellite meter to fine tune the signal (you can google and buy one).

Since being in operation, for two months now, there have been some minor problems with the hub (not on our side but with the satellite or in UAE). Wafa was diligent in apprising me of the situation and it was quickly resolved. I’ve enjoyed my service and the easy method of payment online.

I would STRONGLY recommend using this reputable company. They are trustworthy and customer service oriented.

We struggled to find a reliable company to provide our internet needs in a combat zone and we are very pleased we found you. You informed us every step of the way where the equipment was located during shipment and it arrived quickly. I ordered my Vsat through Wafa.Prior to purchasing i had emailed their sales department with over 200 emails before i made my final decision. Once i had sent the payment it was a matter of days before it arrived. They manage to put me in touch with someone who had my Vsat delivered on a chinook in 2-3 days. The system was easy to setup and their Support team helped me every step of the way. I had a major problem with my connection speeds at first. I emailed them stating what was wrong. I instantly got an email back saying they would look into the issue and resolve it, and they did just that. I cant even count the amount of hours and resources they used to make sure my site was operational.

My Vsat still runs into a very few ocassional problems but it only takes a few emails to resolve the problem. I encourage anyone thinking of ordering a satellite system to go through Wafa. They have been a HUGE help and i cannot thank them enough. Wafa may be a company but i will always think of them and their support team as friends. Always there, through the thick and thin.

Our decision to procure our uplink from WAFA was made on the basis of a recommendation from a business associate who had already made good experiences in using their services. We approached WAFA with our rather complex needs and were met with friendly, helpful efforts to ensure that we could make an informed decision in switching providers. Even though our efforts to get the hardware set up were fraught with difficulties for some weeks, we managed, with the kind held of the WAFA support team, to get things up and working smoothly. We did not procure this uplink just to have fast browsing capabilities. We run several mission-critical network services on our local network, some of which we export to the outside world and WAFA's dedication and commitment to adhere to international standards ensured that the actual transition was smooth and pain-free.

My name is Chris Reilly. I recently purchased an Internet Satellite system. I had been in the market for a couple of months not really sure on which plan or service to go with. After talking with several friends and associates, I settled on WAFA. I was never let down by the choice. From the start, the customer support was second to none. Kamal, the sales associate was extremely helpful in providing me with information and answers to any question I might have had. He always made sure to respond to any of my emails within the hour. When all was figured out what system I was going to get.

Kamal made the order process as simple as he could. He was very straight forward and honest. With in no time (aprox. 9 days) I had my satellite system. When the packages arrived, a Technical Support Representative was given to me to answer any questions I might have, I had a lot. Cuth, the TSR was very understanding and patient. He worked very closely with me. If I had a question about the satellite location or the way the dish was setup, I could just take a picture and send it to him. He would then promptly respond with further instructions. I have now had my system up and running for about three days and have no complaints at all. I would gladly recommend the Wafa products and services to all.

This system rocks! I spent my first three months in Iraq with an antiquated system that offered poor performance. My networks morale was low, my users were unhappy which made me unhappy. I searched high, I searched low and finally I was pointed to WAFA. A few emails later I had ordered the New HX50 system. Skeptical though I was about its promised performance, I figured it couldn't be any worse than what I currently had so I ordered. IT IS A Day and Night difference, performance was on par with my wired internet at my home station. Users were finally able to use VOIP and Web cams.

Data transfers at decent to high speeds. iTunes works!!! Users no longer bug me about slow internet! Thinking this all is too good to be true I hold off on a feedback comment. But now after our first quarter of service it's working as well as day one. Customer support is top notch, from the service dept that helped me pick the right plan and equipment, to the tech support who helped me tweak my system to get everything working. I give HX50 and WAFA big thumbs up! Having a reliable internet connection allows my users to interact with family and friends on a regular basis.

I have the HN7000S system, it precedes the newest model HX50. The system is wonderful. I have since purchased 3 more and am about to purchase 4 additional systems. I have had zero down time. The speed when browsing is awesome, without a doubt the fastest system I have used in my 4 years of working in Iraq. We typically have 4-7 users online at any given time, using Skype VOIP and web cams. The web cams do slow the system noticeably, but this is to be expected. Browsing and emails are a breeze. Sending or receiving 15mb attachments are no issue. I send many 5mb files that are gone in 20-40 seconds. Incoming is faster.

I have the Business 2000 package at each of our locations. It is more than adequate. The system arrived packaged nicely. Everything was there, including instructions. I had many questions on the install, every email I sent was replied to in the same day, normally within a hour or two.
Wafa provides a quality product and superior customer service. As a precaution measure, make sure the power input is good and you power off the satellite receiver, or any delicate electronic equipment, before starting or switching generators wherever possible. As you know, power spikes at generator start up and switch over. Protect all electronic equipment the best you can.You will not be unhappy with your purchase.

Well as far as frank testimony I have nothing but good things to say. I tried talking with a few different Internet providers. Most of them took a few days to get back with me and one took a week to get back with me in reference to sending them the money for the system. I couldn't imagine how long it would take to fix a problem if getting them money was that hard. WAFA was a whole different story. WAFA got back with me the same day. They're equipment and data package was priced better than all the other companies out there. The service provided us with web cam abilities and I believe for most Soldiers over in Iraq that is very important! WAFA answered all my questions with detail. I am surprised that anyone else would use a different Internet service! WAFA did everything they said they would do and on time. My equipment was delivered the day they said it would be here and in great shape, 3 days! It took a little time getting the dish lined up but WAFA gave us all the support we needed.

They also put us in contact with someone here with the same service to provide help with the set up. I think it would help if they provided a longer cable line to be able to put the computer next to the dish for set-up. As soon as we were lined up WAFA Support had us surfing the Internet that same day. One of my good friends is coming over for deployment and I have already given him the WAFA web site. If you will have more than one user make sure to order a router when you order your system so you can have everything set-up at the same time. I would strongly recommend anyone needing Internet service to go through WAFA. WAFA is extremely professional and you won't be disappointed! Thanks again to the WAFA Team!

I've had previous experience with different companies purchasing and setting up VSAT systems. Since I had enough worries with my current position in Iraq, I wanted as painless a process as possible. I had heard good things about WAFA, so after some research, I had contacted them to purchase a DW7000 system. The communication, purchase, and shipment went smoothly.

I will admit that the dish mounting was a bit on the cheap side since it did not include anything to assist in determining elevation, however the assembly was easy to accomplish and dish easy to adjust both azimuth and elevation. After correcting a mistake on my part, locking onto the satellite was a breeze with the DW7000 modem. Activation went smoothly, and I was surfing the Net. I am extremely pleased overall with the service and equipment.

You were the best overall company that I had looked at for service. While there were a few hiccups in getting started, I attribute it only the difficulties faced with being in a foreign country and getting US bank service to understand why one would like to make a purchase.

Once the equipment was here, which was delivered a lot faster than what I was told to expect (great job!) The only problem I had was that I didn't own any equipment to make the alignment easier. Once I got a lock, your techs were able to get me up and running (with my limited knowledge) over email in only 3 days. Much credit goes to you and your company. I have and will continue to recommend you to fellow service members that need service.

To all whom may read this please understand this; setting up a satellite dish is not an easy task. You must have the right equipment, most important some kind of satellite finder or frequency analyzer and some knowledge on how to use it (installed 3 myself in a 6 month time frame). With this equipment and the unwavering assistance from Wafa, setup was a breeze. Wafa is with you every step of the way and stay working with you even when your service is up and running fine. I know firsthand that it is hard to help someone over the phone; it demands a lot of patience. I was very impressed with the way they helped me get my system up in running. Wafa has been a no-headache company and their internet service is top notch (this is based off personal use of 3 different providers in a span of 6 months).

Since I have been with this company I've not had any problems, my service stays up and fast (25 total users) and if Wafa has a service interruption (which is mostly transparent to the user) coming up they send you an email letting you know. You get fast email replies and no question goes unanswered. If you are out there researching for satellite internet service this is the company to go with. I recommend this company to all not only for the service more so the prices. WAFA Technical Systems Services has provided superior support and sales assistance with picking out the VSAT system that was appropriate for my use. I am a soldier in Iraq who decided to get several people to go in on the purchase of satellite internet. There were some struggles along the way, initially coming from my not purchasing the Horizon Sat Meter, which WAFA recommended. Hindsight 20/20, I would recommend you buy that as well.

It is crucial to have. After the dish was properly aligned, activation happened very quickly and I was initially pleased with the speed. I decided to have 29 people share the connection, as according to the specs on the WAFA website, that was the maximum number of users the connection could support. Again, hindsight 20/20, I would recommend that new customers stay well below the maximum number of users, as the speed I currently have is not nearly fast enough to support that many users. The StarNova S2 system does not have a built in satellite meter, unlike Hughes and iDirect systems, which made installation more tricky than I think it should be, but we got it setup eventually.

WAFA does not operate 7 days a week, as they take Friday for a weekend (although it's not Saturday/Sunday as most Americans would expect). This created a bit of a problem for me as we managed to get the antenna lined up on their day off and we had to wait until they were back in the office before we could get it activated. As for support, one of their representatives has MSN messenger and was very willing to help me out in instant message sessions so I did not have to put in support ticket after support ticket.

So, in summary, I would recommend WAFA to anyone looking to get satellite internet in the middle east as long as you make sure to buy the Horizon Sat Meter, take the number of people that the connection can support and only have half that amount, and make sure you have a base and a mast for the dish already, as one was not supplied with the order. This is my honest review, and if WAFA puts this on their website despite it having some negatives, I give even more props to them for displaying honest testimonials.

My experience with WAFA has been one of great satisfaction! Their technical support is up-to-date and the professionalism sets a new standard. The only issue that you might have is the manuals for the gear, which is a little bit old and not designed specifically for their units. In spite of this problem, their team was able to help us install our network with no large hassles! Thank you for all of your support! We still have 6 months down here, and I do believe that the next unit that joins will probably want this VSAT system, just a heads up to you guys.

I am sending this Email Just to say Thank You for the new Star Nova S2 (DVB-S2). It is really great, frankly I have tried 3 satellite internet systems before, but never seen like this (DVB-S2) is the best, although the package I have got till now is Office 500, but it is great. the speed is so good, for browsing, downloading, sending attachments and also for voice chat. Ahaa, I don't wanna forget this, there is another thank you for you, for the FREE Public IP you provided me lately. with it I was able to use my VOIP phone adapter and reach my SIP proxy (this means a very cheap international calls).
